I'm very interested in purchasing one but can't seem to find one for purchase. Even on there own website. I have just had my custom dirt jump bike stolen worth $2500 and even $285 would be worth it if you can get your bikes back!

I'm having trouble recovering data from a DVD too.

My computer is saying the DVD-R is completely empty. I know that it isn't, and I can see the ring of discolouration on the disk from where the information was burned onto it about ten years ago.

The computer says that the disk is full with 0 bytes.

Is it dead? Is this the end? Is it too late to get anything by looking into dd?

You might want to look into dd. In noerror mode, it will copy the raw data off the DVD into an .iso, which you can then mount and browse. Some data may be gone, but it will be a good deal more readable than just sticking it into the drive.

Hi I appreciate your article, so please don’t take this in a bad way. I have spoken to many experienced competition runners (the ones who are doing insane long distance runs week in week out) and they are in the belief that you should be running with the balls of your feet striking the ground. I myself am a sprinter, but I have begun distance running too. Barefoot/thin sole running is logical as it helps you get that “spring” that guides you into the next step from the momentum of the previous step. As for common injuries, you will not overstretch your calves from running like this as this is how your feet are meant to strike the ground. Calf issues will be a result of overworking, lack of salt etc etc. Shin splints and all kinds of injuries come as a result of heel striking and to some extent being too flat footed as you don’t use the energy as efficiently to propel yourself forward. From an analogistic point of view, remember when you were a kid and had to wear plimsollls? Did you not find that when your wore them and ran you felt lightning fast, but when you swtiched to trainers, you were noticeably slower? Perhaps you personally aren't convinced because you started running with correct form and have since maintained it. Just look at the trainers of the top sprinters in the world or the top long distance runners and you will see the thin soles they have, which naturally gives them the inclination to push off from their toes and put that energy of each step to good use. If you can do this in modern trainers then good for you, but be careful you don't adapt and then become a heel striker!

Do you find you get a wider berth at night? I cycle back from church on quite a busy unlit road. On the way to church some drivers get dangerously close, but on the way back, the are all extra cautious. In fact, I'd say they're too cautious. I really don't need them to move right over to the other side of the road. I think it's because it's such a dark road, so there's a higher perception of danger, but I'm just as likely to wobble or sway slightly towards the middle of the road during the day as I am at night.

Yes, they were investigated by John Waite in BBC radio 4's fraud and exploitation investigation programme 'Face the Facts' in August 2008 - why are they still allowed to keep this thing running in the UK? Some of the students who dropped out were interviewed and complained of a bogus course where they were just out fundraising with collection cans, or collecting old clothes all the time.Their website is still up, with the names and photos of the same lot who were interviewed back then, unable to explain where their money went. A measly 12% of earnings was apparently spent on charitable projects - where does the rest go?
