Pig Flu Plague Panic!

I don’t read the tabloids so don’t know how bad the headlines have been getting but even listening to the radio it seems we are being whipped up into a panic.

I think if it was really bad we would be getting far more reassuring messages. I don’t think the media would be allowed to go into a frenzy. After all, during the cold war when we lived with the knowledge that we could all be vaporised by an atomic bomb at any time we were reassured by being told in the official guidance that we should shelter under a table if attacked.

No one wants to be taken before their time but Christians live with the knowledge that death effects 100% of the population, and that therefore we should all be ready for eternity.

“For God so loved the world that he have his only begotten son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life.” These words are still as true as they day he said them, and the invitation still stands. I have never regretted trusting in Jesus.
