Put Binyan Mohamed on Trial

Yes I think he should go on trial. Not because I know whether he is innocent or guilty, but because it should be decided in a court not before a U.S. military commission.
Having been held without trial at Guantanamo Bay for the last six years, I wonder what state his mind must be in.
As a Christian, I find myself agreeing with the words of MP Sarah Teather, chairman of the all party parliamentary group on Guantanamo Bay.
“If Binyam Mohamed has committed a crime, then it is right that he is charged and brought to justice. However, any trial process must be fair, open and tranparent. Holding people with years on end without charge breaches every single value that the war on terror purports to defend.”
