Eat Drink and be Merry

Dec 25th, 2009 by graham | 0

It is Christmas Day and I wish all my readers a very merry Christmas and a great 2010.

My daughter works for a company that kindly gives each employee a Christmas hamper. How nice of them. I could not resist taking a pic of the box though. See the slogan.

Perhaps they do not realise where the quote comes from and that it continues with “for tomorrow we die”. It features in the New Testament of the Bible and was used to illustrate the pointlessness of the lives of those who had not turned to follow Jesus. I doubt my daughter’s employer will have realised the true meaning of their greeting.
